SPECIALIST GTM RECRUITING

Sales Operations
recruiting.

Prospecteo recruits Sales Operations talent for the planning, systems, and processes that help a sales team execute. We start with the decisions your team needs to make and the work this hire should own.

Discuss your Sales Ops hire

When to make
this hire.

A first Sales Ops hire can make sense when managers spend too much time reconciling reports, territory rules live in spreadsheets, or forecast meetings repeatedly uncover conflicting definitions. Separate the immediate operational backlog from the planning responsibilities you expect the hire to grow into.

DEFINE THE SCOPE

Roles we recruit.

These are example scopes to shape a hiring conversation. Titles and responsibilities vary by company; they are not current job openings.

Sales Operations Analyst

Maintain reporting, investigate data quality, and turn sales activity and pipeline data into useful operating views.

Sales Operations Manager

Own defined sales processes, coordinate CRM changes, and improve forecasting inputs, territories, or compensation operations.

Director or Head of Sales Operations

Set sales operations priorities with leadership, connect capacity and territory decisions, and build a team or operating cadence.

BEYOND THE TITLE

What we look for.

Forecasting judgment

Ask how the candidate would investigate a forecast change. Look for consistent definitions, a distinction between pipeline coverage and deal confidence, and a clear explanation of uncertainty.

Planning and execution

Walk through a territory or quota change. Explore the assumptions, exceptions, stakeholder input, and steps needed to put the plan into use.

Systems ownership

Discuss a CRM process the candidate maintained after launch. Look for data checks, documentation, training, and a practical approach to handling requests.

Start with
a clear brief.

Use these questions to define the search with your team.

  1. Which sales decisions need better information?
  2. Who owns CRM administration and sales enablement today?
  3. Does the role execute an existing plan or develop one with leadership?
  4. Which two or three outcomes should change in the first 90 days?

How the search starts.

01 / Share the work.

Tell us about your team, the systems in place, and what the hire needs to change.

02 / Align on the role.

Nate will follow up to discuss scope, level, and the evidence that would demonstrate a fit.

03 / Agree on the search.

Discuss expectations and terms before deciding to move forward. Sharing a brief does not commit you to a search.

Sales Ops hiring questions.

What is the difference between Sales Ops and RevOps recruiting?

Sales Ops searches focus on how the sales organization plans and executes. A RevOps search may extend ownership across marketing, sales, and customer success. The right search depends on the handoffs and decisions the person will own; titles alone do not settle that scope.

Should our first Sales Ops hire be an analyst or a manager?

An analyst can fit a defined reporting and analysis backlog with clear direction. A manager may fit when the person must prioritize requests, design processes, and coordinate changes independently. Write down the decisions the hire must make before choosing the level.

Can a Sales Ops hire own our CRM?

Yes, if CRM ownership is an explicit part of the role and the candidate has the required depth. Clarify whether ownership means requirements, configuration, integrations, or all three. A broad operations title is not evidence of each skill.

How do we start a Sales Ops search with Prospecteo?

Share your role, company, and the work you need this person to own. Nate will follow up to discuss the scope, existing team, and priorities before you commit to a search.
